OPERATIONAL STRATEGY
Under the strategic scenario, the Ag. Head/Computer Systems Manager administer the Department through two units namely :
a) Software and Scientific Packages Research headed by Engnr Niyi Abiri.
b) Hardware and Networking headed by Mr I.T.C.Nwabufor.
Over the years, the Department has been able to effectively discharge its statutory function as spelt out in the enabling Decree of the Centre. However lack of funds to acquire necessary hardware, software and training which is being estimated at 2 Million US Dollars has hampered implementation of some laudable projects strategically planned in line with the Centre's mandate as a Software Engineering Development Centre and a Centre of Excellence in the Mathematical Sciences in the West African sub region.
